Less than a month away!

I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has gone! We have pretty much everything I can think of for him and it is all ready:) Any suggestions on things to get that you wished you had when you came home from the hospital? Thanks everybody!

Here I am!! 30 Weeks Pregnant, 7 months, and 2.5 months to go:)

Time is Flyin'!!

I can't believe that tomorrow it is August already! As of today I am 30 weeks pregnant and can't believe that in a little over 2 months the baby will make his appearance. We have been thinking of names, but until I see the little guy, nothing is certain. I would hate to name him Albert if he totally looks like a Justin:) This upcoming month, we hope to move into a 2 bedroom apartment, but may remain in our 1 bedroom. I have heard that being a 1 bedroom is doable for the first year. I have also been reading The Baby Whisperer and What to Expect. Both books present the facts and aren't too extreme in one philosophy or another. We are also planning a trip to Wisconin at the end of August, which I am a little nervous to fly, but it will be fine. I just can't wait to hold our baby boy in my arms:)

Karate Kick!!

Matt and I felt the baby's first kick! It felt like someone flicking me from the inside of my tummy out:) We were watching Iron Man 2 and the theature had some loud sound effects. I learned that the babies senses are developing and he can possibly hear now. Maybe all the loud noise made him jump; I know it made me jump a few times. Now we have a little kicker!

It's a .....BOY!!

Matt and I are so excited! I have known this whole time that he was:) Now for the name game! So far we like: Eli and Josh, but we will see. If you hear any ideas for cute names post them. The last few weeks I have also started to push out a little baby tummy. Here I am!

My First Ultra-Sound

Now I officially believe without a doubt I am going to be a mother!!! There is actually a little life growing inside me!! It was so so neat to see Matt and I's little baby doing complete rolls, kicking, putting its sweet hand on its face:) Wow! I am truely amazed. Since I saw how much the baby moves, all day I have been thinking about whether or not I can feel it.. and I think I can if I lay on my tummy on the bed. It's like a little swishing feeling:) What a great moment! I will never forget it!

Doctor Visit!

So last week, I had my second doctor visit, or in other words, my first real baby appointment. After waiting a long two hours, the doctor comes in and starts talking to me for about ten minutes about this new philosopher he likes, finally takes my blood pressure, and tries to listen to the baby's heartbeat. But, it was still too early. All I kept thinking was "Shut up! I want to hear the heartbeat.", but at least the 29th I will for sure. I will have my first ultra-sound and will see the little kumquat:) Couldn't be more excited!

p.s. does anyone have easy recipes to make? Food is currently the equivalent of dirt to me and I need all the fresh ideas I can get.
